Applying for a place at WAT schools

Children starting school or transferring to Middle or Upper School in September 2022

Wimborne Academy Trust is the Admission Authority for all Trust schools. However, the day to day administration of admission applications is managed for each school by the relevant local authority's School Admissions Team.

Parents and guardians of children starting school or transferring to Middle or Upper School in September 2022 should apply for a school place through the local authority in which they reside.

In-year applications

We welcome applications from parents and guardians for their children to join Wimborne Academy Trust schools at any time. If the school place you are seeking for your child is required during the school year, please contact the appropriate School Admissions Team using the links above. 

Appeals

If you have been unsuccessful in an application for a place at one of our schools you can appeal against the decision.  

For all Wimborne Academy Trust schools except for Merley First School and Queen Elizabeth's School the appeals process is managed by Dorset Council's School Admissions Team. Please follow the link below
